Change

Well, I have been busy with painting, more painting and more painting...........I smell paint fumes all the time! :) But I have to say........I love the changes......the house has so much more color!!! (of course it had none before!! :)) The prep work is the hardest part........ take everything down from the walls, move furniture out of the way, take up baseboards, fill holes and sand, wipe walls clean, and tape off wood work not able to be removed........then paint....and while painting we take all the light switch covers and outlet covers and paint them so they won't stick out like sore thumbs......then I wash and all the woodwork......... twice..... once to remove dirt and once with a treatment to add moisture and polish it..... then we paint the actual light switches and plug-ins..... paint another coat on the walls......put the covers back on, put the baseboards and trim back and put furniture back in place (or some semblance thereof) and move on to the next room.... plus I work in a few extra projects for rooms that have never really been decorated yet..... Man, what an operation....... we still have the kitchen, one bathroom and three bedrooms to paint..... then we will have just 2 bedrooms to do a future date.......one is my playroom (that'll take a major overhaul) and Earl's bedroom....(maybe wait till he is out of the house!!) I will post pictures on Yahoo one of these days...... well, back to work!!
